The SSC Ultimate Aero TT is an exceptionally rare American hypercar, built to compete directly with cars such as the Bugatti Veyron. Its mid-mounted 6.3-litre twin-turbo V8 produces around 1,183 bhp, driving the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual gearbox.
Performance was extraordinary for its time, with 0–60 mph in around 2.8 seconds and an officially recorded top speed of approximately 256 mph, making it the world’s fastest production car from 2007 until 2010. Its lightweight carbon-composite body, low-slung shape and huge rear tyres give it a very distinctive appearance.
